Message from ADLA President Christina May Bolin

ADLA Members:

As you may be aware, ADLA leaders were appointed to the newly formed Alabama State Bar COVID-19 Civil Litigation Task Force.  The task force is looking for input from the ADLA membership on the following items:

1. Suggestions to temporary or permanent rule changes that could help ease potential backlog and get more civil cases tried.
2. Proposed solutions on how to conduct jury trials with social distancing guidelines in effect.

The task force is on a tight timeline, so it’s essential that you submit your suggestions as soon as possible.  Please email your suggestions to adla@adla.org no later than 5:00 pm on Fri., April 24th.  We will compile all responses and submit them to the task force ASB COVID-19 at one time for consideration.
