Presenter: Chris Yates, P.E.

Mr. Chris Yates, P.E., is a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. Chris has over 20 years of experience in accident reconstruction with specialized training in vehicular accident reconstruction, analysis of collisions involving pedestrians and bicycles, commercial vehicle investigations, crash data retrieval systems, simulation and animation software, commercial vehicle event data recorders, and has a FAA Remote Pilot license. His expertise also includes seat belts, occupant kinematics, product failure analysis and other general engineering issues.

Presention Summary: This is a one-hour class on Technologies that are utilized in the analysis of vehicular crashes in Accident Reconstruction. This class is given from the perspective of an engineer and accident reconstructionist with more than 20 years of experience in the field and in Event Data Recorder downloads. The class will cover technologies that are used to collect physical evidence by experts, as well as various technologies that contain data from crash events, including Event Data Recorders (EDRs), Infotainment systems and other sources of data. The objective of the class is to give both new and experienced attorneys information that they can immediately utilize in their practice.

This course or a portion thereof has been approved by the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission of Alabama for a maximum of 1 hours’ credit.
