Presentation Summary:
In 2024, women outnumber men in law schools in the United States, but the increased presence of women in legal education does not always translate to equivalent advancements in legal practice or the judiciary. We have gathered a group of female judges serving in various judicial roles in Alabama to discuss the issues facing women lawyers and judges. The judges will also offer their advice to women in the courtroom based on their collective experience and observations from the bench.
Key Topics:
- Balancing It All: Women in the Law
- Perspectives from the Bench: Observations of Female Litigators and Preferences of the Court (state, appellate, and federal)
This course or a portion thereof has been approved by the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission of Alabama for a maximum of 1 hours’ credit.
