Brief Course Description:
Attorneys are often required to review medical records and claims related to the spine. But there is no course in law school called “Spine Anatomy for Lawyers.” This seminar aims to fill that gap, to equip you to better understand the information you review and to provide resources for future reference. The seminar will cover topics including normal spine anatomy, terminology, medical imaging, degenerative spine conditions, acute spinal injuries and mechanisms, and distinctive spine pathologies to be aware of.  Many visual aids and context relevant to common issues lawyers need to consider will be provided. A few salient resources will be provided for future reference.
