ADLA Announces New District 3 Directors to Serve on Board of Directors & Young Lawyers Board of Directors

AUBURN, ALABAMA (AUGUST 2, 2022) – The Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA) Board of Directors recently appointed two members to fill unfinished terms on the ADLA Board of Directors and the Young Lawyers Board of Directors.

BoardDistrict 3 Director, Jordan Speake Jenkins. Jordan is an Associate Attorney at Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, PC in Montgomery. Her practice focuses on a broad range of civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on insurance defense. Jordan is a graduate of the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum Class 15 and currently serves as President of the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Women’s Section. She also serves on the Alabama State Bar’s Legal Food Frenzy and Membership Relations Task Force. Jordan graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also graduated cum laude from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law where she was a member of Faulkner Law Review, Faulkner Trial Team, and Board of Advocates. Jordan is married to Devin Jenkins. They have one daughter and are expecting their second child in September.

At the time of Jordan’s appointment, she was serving as District 3 Director on the Young Lawyers Board of Directors and had been in that position for the past four years. She will serve the remaining term for Megan McCarthy of Ball Ball Matthews and Novak, PA who was recently elected as ADLA’s 2022-2023 Secretary-Treasurer in June. Jordan’s term will expire in June 2024.

District 3 Young Lawyers Director, M. Ashley Tidwell. Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Ashley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.  She received her juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2019. Upon her completion of the bar exam, Ashley joined Holtsford Gilliland’s Montgomery, Alabama office as an associate.  Ashley’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of governmental entity, motor vehicle, and general insurance liability defense litigation.  Ashley has already served as a member of multiple State and Federal jury trial teams that have obtained successful verdicts at trial. She has been an active member of ADLA since she was admitted into the Alabama State Bar in 2019, and is honored to have the opportunity to serve ADLA and its members as a YLS District Director.

Ashley will serve the remaining term for Jordan Speake Jenkins of Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, PC in Montgomery who was appointed to District 3 Director on the ADLA Board of Directors. Ashley’s term will expire in June 2024.
