District 2 Launches Inaugural Mentorship Program

District 2

District 2 Mentorship Program

The deadline to sign up is November 22nd!

Sponsored by the Women in the Law Section

“It’s called the practice of law for a reason,” right? Success in the legal profession is a moving target that develops with time, experience, and mentorship. The ADLA Women’s Section is thrilled to announce its inaugural Mentorship Program.  Our goal is to bring together lawyers at different stages of practice to encourage, energize and support one another. ADLA young lawyers (those under 40 or practicing law for ten years or less) within District II (Birmingham) are encouraged to participate as Mentees. Mentors are also needed.  Mentees will be matched with Mentors within ADLA based upon the information provided in the Mentee & Mentor Match Inquiry Form by clicking here.

Mentors and mentees will be paired no later than December 1, 2022. The Women’s Section is excited to host a reception for Mentors and Mentees to meet on December 7, 2022 from 5-6 pm. Details are forthcoming. After the reception, Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to connect and get together monthly one-on-one in a way that works best for the pair. The Program will conclude during Annual Meeting on June 15 to 18, 2023 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. We are hopeful that the Mentors and Mentees will be connected for years to come.

Please contact Melissa Sinor of Clark May Price Lawley Duncan & Paul LLC at msinor@clarkmayprice.com with any questions. While the Mentorship Program is currently limited to District 2, the Women’s Section’s goal is to implement the Program in each District in 2023.

This year, in committing to ADLA, 900 members strengthened the foundation of the association and became part of the groundwork for our future members to continue advancing and innovating the practice of civil defense litigation. Join or Renew
