Re: Alabama Judges Now Have Access to Zoom for Video Conference

A Message from ADLA President, Chief Justice Parker has announced that Alabama Judges now have access to Zoom to start conducting hearings via video conference.  Zoom has a free version that can be used on most smart phones and computers.  CLICK to view a helpful tips sheet put together by my firms IT Manager, Sally Gonder.  Some counties have asked attorneys to file a motion to set a telephonic hearing rather than just calling the judges’ chambers.  This is a great resource for all of us.  Check with your court to see how you can get these set up.

Your ADLA Executive Committee continues to work to help our members through these difficult and unprecedented times.  We were able to quickly put together a webinar with helpful technology tips for working at home.  Thank you to Hal Mooty, Esq. for putting that together and delivering another excellent webinar!  We were very sad to have to reschedule the Deposition Boot Camp but are working on new dates and look forward to seeing our younger lawyers there.  If you have a specific way we can help, please let us know.

This year, in committing to ADLA, 900 members strengthened the foundation of the association and became part of the groundwork for our future members to continue advancing and innovating the practice of civil defense litigation. Join or Renew
