District 4 Launches Inaugural Mentorship Program

The deadline to sign up for the Mentorship Program is May 31st!

Mentorship ProgramSponsored by the Women in the Law Section

“It’s called the practice of law for a reason,” right? Success in the legal profession is a moving target that develops with time, experience, and mentorship. The ADLA Women’s Section is thrilled to announce its inaugural Mentorship Program.  Our goal is to bring together lawyers at different stages of practice to encourage, energize and support one another. ADLA young lawyers (those under 40 or practicing law for ten years or less) within District 4 (Mobile area) are encouraged to participate as Mentees. Mentors are also needed.

Mentees will be matched with Mentors within ADLA based upon the information provided in the Mentee & Mentor Match Inquiry Form: https://forms.gle/79sGXbJDsgNcuiVU6

Mentors and mentees will be paired no later than May 31, 2023. The Women’s Section is excited to host a reception in June for Mentors and Mentees to meet. Details are forthcoming. After the reception, Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to connect and get together monthly one-on-one in a way that works best for the pair. The Program will conclude in December. We are hopeful that the Mentors and Mentees will be connected for years to come.

Please contact Melissa Sinor of McGriff at melissa.sinor@mcgriff.com or Melissa Hunter of Galloway, Wettermark & Rutens LLP at mhunter@gallowayllp.com with any questions. While the Mentorship Program is currently limited to Districts 2 and 4, the Women’s Section’s goal is to implement the Program in each District in 2023.
